 FRIDAY!

After being "clean & sober" not one drop of alcohol since, God,
I don't remember - I am ready for a nice martini or a shot of
tequila or just give me whatever! .
I think I feel 100% so is time to PARTY!

I have some plans for the weekend, hubby is going to wisk
me away to some couples resort. Tuesday is my
BIRTHDAY - he feels I should
leave the city for a while and catch my breath.
I think he just wants to catch me

I wish you all a GREAT WEEKEND and I'll catch up when
I get back on Wednesday.

 Am Back

Yes am perfectly ok-safe and sound, alive and Kicking
and not given up on blogging yet....for all those who
were wondering. Had a terrible experience last week,
thought I was going to die literally
from food poisioning (thai food)
so bad I ended up in the emergency room, my stomach had
to be pumped, just awful the worst experience of my life.
But I am good now, have not been able to have a drop of
alcohol . I am dying for a shot of
tequila, maybe I should swing by Scratch's Tavern.

On a different note, I heard from a friend of mine whom
I have not spoken to in a while...this is her story...

*Once there was a handsome prince and a beautiful
princess...They met each other at a ballroom dance....
The prince asked the princess for a dance and the minute
they took the first step together, sparks ignited....

They danced and talked for hours. The prince wrote
letters to the princess and the princess waited for
the letters with aniticipation.....

They started meeting each other in the lovely palace
garden and finally one day the prince bend down on
his knee and said.: "Hey beautiful one, will you
marry me"?

It was the most grand wedding the kingdom had ever
seen...two beautiful people deeply in love...taking
the marital vows...the prince taking his lovely bride
on the golden chariot....united for EVER!

Its been 6 months since the grand marriage day...the
princess is back to her fathers palace.....waiting
for the official separation papers to be signed.....love
is no more.

Every story doesn't have a happy ending..moreso in
real life...my friends' wedding was the most beautiful
and lasvish wedding I've ever been.

Thank you to those of you who have been concern about me,
It feels so nice to know you care.
my love to you all

 Today

I am sitting in my office thinking about the events that happened
5 years ago. I can feel the fear, confussion, hopelesness, sadness,
uncertainties...these were the emotions I felt on that day. .
I experienced 911 first hand being two blocks away from the towers. I witness the 2nd plane and the collapse.
I lost a relative, three friends and two clients.
They will forever be in my memory and in my heart. In my home
there is always a white candle burning year round in memory
of all those innocent people.

A friend sent me the following, I thought I would share it with
you...May God Bless us all!!!

September 11, the day darkness fell over our land, terror filled our streets and fear overtook our hearts. Collectively we faced our mortality, our vulnerability, and our fragility. But out of the darkness appeared a bright light, the light of God, the light of hope, the light of unity.

What was meant to weaken our people strengthened our determination.

What was meant to cripple us economically, lead to more giving than ever before.

What was meant to instill fear, allowed our bravest of heroes to shine.

Let us not forget that out of the darkness appeared a bright light.

What was meant to separate us, brought us together in unity.

What was meant to disorient us, realigned our values.

What was meant to disempower us, gave us strength of spirit.

Let us not forget that out of the darkness appeared a bright light.

What was meant to crumble our structures, strengthened our character.

What was meant to detach us from our loved ones, brought us closer to our families.

Let us not forget that out of the darkness appeared a bright light.

What was meant to fill our minds with anger, opened our hearts with gratitude.

What was meant to invoke terror, lead to extraordinary acts of kindness.

What was meant to dissolve our faith brought us closer to God.

For what develops out of the darkness is often the brightest light of possibilities. Although the images 9/11 will forever be imprinted upon our soul, let us remember the lessons of this day. The lessons of what truly is important; courage, strength, serving others, faith, but most of all love. Let us not forget to count our blessings, to say I love you, to honor each others differences. Let us not forget the day we all as a world came together as one. Let us not forget that out of the darkness appeared a bright light. For if we forget the lessons of this day those who died, died in vain.

Today we look within our hearts and souls and find the lessons we learned from 9/11. We rediscover the light that carried us through the most challenging time in our history and we now use it to guide our lives and the choices we make. Together we can choose peace, unity, and love.
