 Thinking about life

Life is a tricky thing. It will kick you in the butt one day. And help you up the next. The trick is to "Fall down seven times get back up eight". That’s an old Chinese proverb. It just says the only mistake you can make is after failing not getting back up and trying again. You know what they say when life deals you a lemon make lemonade. Just make the best of what you have been given cause wishing for more will only lead you into jealousy and anger. Both of which are bad. So life isn't all bad but it isn't all good either.
Life can be trouble but not all the time. After rain comes the good part. I mean you don't really expect life to be all honky dory do you? If you do all you are doing is being set up for disappointment because shit happens. Your best friend may turn and stab you in the back. But in the process of losing a friend you just may meet a new one. So do not shut the door to good in a bad situation. Than no one wins. Especially not you.

In life there are winners and losers, bosses and those under them. Don't worry for every dog has his day. In the race of life, there are winners. Not any losers. If you have survived in this world that makes you a winner. You must stare life in the face and embrace it. Take what comes to you. Don’t be mad when it isn’t what you wanted. Just be careful what you wish for, when you get you just may wish you were still wishing for it. You maybe surprised at what you get.

All I am trying to say is life is complicated. Don’t try to understand it, for you will just get even more confused. Love may come and go, but as long as it comes, you have nothing to worry about. Despite what people may tell you. Life will always be worth living. Life is such a tricky thing: isn’t it?

Whether you wander down random roads or plan precise paths, the exciting journey we call life involves many choices. The decisions we make on a day-to-day basis affect everything. Questions such as, “What should I wear today?” or “Should I really be eating this?” are asked by many people everyday. Frankly those two questions are on my mind every single morning...most of the time a simple beauty magazine answers both questions in one article, but I know that in order to live a happy, healthy life there are more important questions to be resolved.

Hope you are all well...

 Slow Day!!!!

Well it has been a while since I've posted anything
and since today is a very slow day at work I figured
I'd post something. It is almost the end of the week
(a very busy week) and believe it or not my calendar
is free of meetings, must be because I crammed everything
into three days. Anyway last night I was in the chatroom,
(I enjoy being there) I have gotten to know some of you
and must say some of you are just too funny, and sometimes
the conversations get a little red hot, but never out of
control and we all eventually cool it down (which is a good
thing) I would not want to get kicked out. - A little
about my life...life has been good to me, I must say that
between husband, kids, work it all has worked out for me
- hubby, is a wonderful man, caring, loving father, friend
and (sometimes) a great lover ... after being married
for so long sometimes the sparks don't fly as high, but
we make do...and are working to rekindle the flickering
flame, I think we are making progress. (However he always
makes me smile) and we do lots of things together, like
going to Broadway to see a play, bike riding, baseball
games (love theYankees, Go Yankees) sorry could not resist.
I do enjoy sitting in my living room with him and have a corona
or my cup of tea and watch the boys of summer do their thing.
My old time favorite Yankee was Paul O'Neil, he's retired
but damn I had such a crush on him - mmmmmmmmm... that butt...
ok I'll stop. Well I do have to find something to do, maybe
set up a lunch date, yeah that sounds good, I think I'll go
for some Sushi yummy.

I read these quotes ....I thought they were great and I
wanted to share them.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive.
Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile because
it takes only a smile to make a dark day
seem bright.
Find the one that makes your heart smile.

Giving someone all your love is never an assurance
that they'll love you back! Don't expect love in
return; just wait for it to grow in their heart but
if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours. It takes
only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to
like someone, and a day to love someone, but it takes
a lifetime to forget someone.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we
lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what
we've been missing until it arrives.

 Thank you

Just want to say thank you all for the warm welcome, wow you
guys are really great!!! this is for you all

On a different note; I did not win the bid for the
job I mentioned on my last post, someone else came in at
a lower cost and their presentation was very impressive,
(congrats to them) you win some you loose some, no big
deal.

I had a wonderful weekend riding around in my new car,
yesterday took my son to Rye Playland, (an amusement park)
I do not ride the rides, but my son begged me to get on the
roller coaster with him and boy what a mistake that was
I saw my whole life flash me by I don't know what possessed
me to get on it but it was no fun for me,
he on the other hand had a blast watching me suffer. After
he rode all the rides with his friends we went to the lake
and got on a boat for a ride around the lake, that was fun
for me, he thought it was boring.

Let's see what this week will bring, I have a networking
cocktail party tomorrow night, those are usually fun -
I get to meet a lot of people from different business
sectors. This is one is being sponsored by the Chamber
of Commerce.

 My day

Here is a bit of information about what I do...
Companies often look to advertising as a way of boosting sales by increasing the public’s exposure to a product or service. Most companies do not have the staff with the necessary skills or experience to create effective advertisements; Instead, they commonly solicit bids from companies such as mine to develop advertising for them. My company is also involved in Graphics design as well as printing of materials such as brochure, magazine books etc.
I have been in this industry for 20 years and enjoy it very much.
Today I had a big presentation as some of you know. It was a long
afternoon, I did not make it back to my office, instead from the meeting met a couple friends for cocktails. I won't know about the outcome until Monday, there were two other companies submitting bids.

Well I am sitting in my livingroom now, blogging, and having a
home made margarita I think I went a little
too far on the rum though.

Now a bit about me...I am 5' tall, olive skin, hazel eyes.
I am into fitness, fashion and love the night life.
I love poetry and dancing is my passion.

I wish I new how to make my blog a little more exciting
but haven't figure it out yet - any suggestions?

Until next time - take good care!!!!
